​​​​​​​Doctor Cheryl Ziegler Attended Michigan State University for her Bachelor of Science degree, and Illinois College of Optometry for her doctorate.

She practices full scope optometry and has a strong interest in dry eye. She is originally from Michigan and moved to Plymouth in 1996 to reside with her family and operate Advanced EyeCare.

Dr. Cheryl has a passion for helping her patients with Dry Eye and has built a specialty clinic that focuses on Dry Eye Disease

​​​​​​​Dr. Christopher Schnelle is a native of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, who received his undergraduate degree at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Schnelle also completed a community health residency in Boston through the New England College of Optometry and Harvard Teaching Hospitals. During this time, he conducted research on Dry Eyes, Diabetes and other ocular diseases. In 2012, Dr. Schnelle was awarded as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry for his dedication to patient care and his commitment to clinical research and practices.

Dr. Schnelle’s practice philosophy is to make people’s lives easier and to help them in ways that they are unable to help themselves. “Vision is our primary intake of information before all else. It helps us learn, work, and play. I take special care to fully understand the needs and values of my patients in order to help them in the most comprehensive and sensitive way. I take the wisdom that evidence-based medicine has proven and treat my patients in the most relevant and appropriate way. I feel it is my responsibility to ensure the safety and health of every one of my patients while providing them excellence in their visual performance,” said Schnelle.

Outside of work, Dr. Schnelle is an involved father of two young girls and enjoys outdoor sports, sailing, woodworking and traveling with his wife and children.

Dr. Schnelle cares for patients of all ages and is a provider for most medical and vision plans.

​​​​​​​Tammy is an ophthalmic Medical assistant. 

She has been with Advanced EyeCare for more than 25 years. Her expertise in insurance is unsurpassed, and you can find her beautiful smile at our front desk. 

​​​​​​​Jennifer Wagner was born, raised and still resides in Sheboygan Falls, WI with her husband Gerard and their adult son Bradly, who has high functioning autism and is a LTC graduate.

She is a proud farmer’s daughter and continues to support the industry today. Jenny has been the friendly face of our front desk at Advanced EyeCare since 2017 and she is always willing to help in any way she can.

In her free time, Jenny and her family enjoy golfing, participating in fun runs and walks, and they love traveling. They especially love the Lake Superior region, where they explore light houses, waterfalls, and hiking trails.

 

​​​​​​​Genia is passionate about Eyecare, and has knowledge in the optical department and at our Front desk, and is a very valuable member of our team since 2012. She can’t wait to welcome you to our office!
 

​​​​​​​Colette is an excellent certified ophthalmic assistant that you will meet when you have an eye exam. She comes to us with over 30 years of  eye care and medical experience and is a welcome addition to our team. 
 

​​​​​​​Liz is an Opthalmic Medical Assistant at Advanced EyeCare. 

She works closely with the doctors to make sure you have the most thorough eye exam and best visual outcome… you’ll see!

​​​​​​​Cheri is an optician specializing in visual excellence with a deep knowledge of lens options for every need. 

She will assist you with ALL your glasses needs.  

​​​​​​​Kathy studied at Lakeshore Technical College and comes to us with many years of optical experience. She is always ready to help you find the perfect frame, and takes the time you need to ensure fit and fashion. You are always in excellent hands with Kathy.
